why we exist
We believe in empowering women, bringing them joy, helping them feel happier in their own skin, celebrate their bodies, and release resistance.
We do that through boudoir photography and videography.
We’re an Auckland based photography and videography company specialising in boudoir and nude photo and video creation.
God’s Picture Book was established in 2018 and it’s run by Nicu Castravet, a Canadian-European artist who is a full-time professional photographer and videographer. He moved to New Zealand in 2017 following a love for his Kiwi girlfriend whom he met while she was travelling in Canada.

We do not however offer couples shoots because it is outside of our expertise.
An Airbnb, the beach, the comfort of your home or any location you choose if you can organise it.
We have written permission to share the photos and videos that you see on our website & social media. If you choose to keep your photos and/or videos private then we will delete them after you receive them and that's that.
Yes, we can hire a professional hair and makeup artist. It is however often easier for our clients to organise it themselves, or do their own hair and makeup. Just let us know what you want and we'll work with that.
Unless they are a professional hair and makeup artist, or a posing director then from our experience 100% of the time the shoots are more relaxing and the results are more beautiful if there isn't someone watching because the woman being photographed does not feel judged and the photographer, the posing director and the makeup artist (if present) do not feel interference from the visitor. A guest also often ends up taking time away from your shoot because you will most likely feel that you need to talk to them or get their input out of respect, or they may feel that they need to make comments or suggestions to justify their presence. So we strongly recommend that you refrain from bringing your friends or your partner with you.
Having said all that, if still you MUST bring someone then they have to be over 18 years of age and respect the fact that this shoot is between the photographer (and any other professional present - if any) and the woman being photographed. We ask for all questions, comments and anything else to be saved for after the shoot is finished because otherwise we cannot deliver outstanding results.
Yes. After the shoot, the photographer will send you all the images that turned out (watermarked) for selection. After you've finished selecting the ones you would like to purchase, the photographer will edit them and send them back to you as finished art pieces, digitally.
You do not need to be naked for your photos or videos to be beautiful. We will send you a questionnaire before the shoot and you will be able to choose whether or not you want to be nude for a part of the shoot.
- $265 per hour of shooting
- $50 per image. (you will be able to select your own images)
- $499 for the video
You will get complimentary 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after the shoot to chat, share your excitement, lay out your lingerie, get comfortable, have beverages if you want to and just take in the amazing energy that you're experiencing.
If you need hair and makeup done, then it'll simply be as much as the hair and makeup artist charges. We do not charge anything extra on top of that. The cost depends on the hair and makeup artist and we suggest you find someone who's style you love. This is a very individual thing. You are also welcome to do your own hair and makeup before the shoot.
You do not need to lose 5 pounds, get a tan before the shoot, or wait for some pimple(s) to go away. You are perfect as you are.
If you want nude shots, try not wearing any tight underwear or jeans because that'll leave marks on your skin which are hard to remove in post production.
Wear something light like sweatpants, overalls, a jumpsuit, shorts, or anything else which won't leave marks on your body.
If you want to, find inspiring photos online if you'd like to show them to the photographer. It will not be possible to create exactly the same photos because everything from you to the camera to the location is different but finding some photos you love can definitely help the photographer understand you better.
Please don't put on tanning lotion before the shoot because it'll leave marks on your clothes, the set and mainly it'll leave streaky lines on your skin.
If you go tanning the day before the shoot or on the day of, then you may end up having red skin. Know your limits.
Absolutely, just share your location ideas and we'll let you know if there's an additional cost.
